0008 - Graebert Account / License activation

Objectives:

  • Learn step by step how to create a free Graebert account.

To use ARES Kudo, you need either an individual license or a bundle license that includes ARES Kudo (such as an ARES Trinity or Mobility Pack license).

If you don't have any type of license yet, then you can activate a 30-day free trial. The following video explains the process.

Note: In the final part of the course, we will explain the different types of licenses available.

If you already have a Graebert account set up, you can move to the end of the lesson and complete the QUIZ. After you do so, you can press the "Complete and Continue" button that appears at the end of the lesson, and at the top-right corner of the course page.

0008.01 - When you answer the QUIZ, you will be able to click the “Complete and Continue” button to finish the lesson and jump to the next topic.

Note: This shortcut is only available after completing the QUIZ. If you don't know the answers to the QUIZ, you should watch the video first.

Creating a Graebert account is a simple, free process. Once you do so, you will be able to activate the 30-day trial period for ARES Commander, ARES Kudo, and ARES Touch — or add the licenses you have purchased for these programs — and begin enjoying the advantages of ARES Trinity.

It is important to note that activating the 30-day trial period in any of the three products automatically activates the other two at the same time.

As you already know, ARES Trinity incorporates ARES Commander, ARES Kudo, and ARES Touch, while Mobility Pack includes ARES Kudo and ARES Touch. By activating the trial version you will have access to all three programs (although to take this course, you only need to use ARES Kudo and ARES Touch).

If you want to try all three programs and the collaboration tools that connect them, then we recommend taking the “ARES Trinity Collaboration features for DWG” course.

Each product has a login button, and among your options is the ability to create a Graebert account if you don't already have one.

Note: If you haven't downloaded and installed the programs yet, you should complete the “Read me first” course before continuing.

0008.02 - Login button in ARES Commander.

Note: ARES Commander is not part of the Mobility Pack license, but when you activate the 30-day trial version of ARES Kudo or ARES Touch, you automatically activate the trial version of all three programs, including ARES Commander (and even the Trinity collaboration feature set, because it involves all three programs). This course, however, only deals with the collaboration from ARES Kudo.

0008.03 - Login interface in ARES Kudo.

0008.04 - Login button in ARES Touch.

We can also create a free Graebert account from the website, www.graebert.com. To do this, we click on Customer Portal in the top navigation bar.

0008.05 - Customer Portal link on the home page of Graebert.com.

This box will allow us to sign in; it’s similar to the one we will find when logging in from any of the Graebert products. But in this case, we are interested in creating a new account, so we click on SIGN UP instead.

0008.06 - Customer Portal sign-in box accessible from Graebert.com.

Now we just have to fill out the registration form.

0008.07 - Registration form for creating a new Graebert account.

All that remains is to click the activation link sent automatically to the email account registered.

0008.08 - Activation email for creating a new account.

Once we activate the new account and log in, we can see that the My Trials and My Products sections are empty. This is because this account has not yet added any paid licenses, nor activated a 30-day trial.

0008.09 - The My Products section is empty, as is My Trials.

If you have purchased a license, paste the key number in the white box, and click VALIDATE PERMISSION KEY.

In this other example, you can see two active plugins have been added in the My Products section.

0008.10 - Product licenses added.

If you have activated any trial version of the ARES Trinity products — that is, ARES Commander, ARES Kudo, or ARES Touch — then all three will appear in the My Trials section of your account.

0008.11 - My Trials section.

In the Devices section, you will be able to see when the licenses have been activated, and on which devices.

0008.12 - Devices section.

In the Profile section, you can add more data to your user profile if you wish. Pay attention to the Language drop-down menu, since it not only allows you to modify the language of this box, but also serves to set the language for ARES Kudo.

0008.13 - Profile section.

It's time to test everything you've learned in this topic.

You just have to choose the correct option. At the top of the QUIZ you will see the number of questions you have to answer.
